The story
For high-draw tools
Users of recip saws, grinders, circular saws and SDS hammers need a pack that keeps current up without overheating. The HB8 gives up to 50 percent more power than standard M18 packs and runs cooler, so heavy tools keep working instead of cutting out.
Tough construction
A metal frame with shock-absorbing separators protects the cells when the pack is dropped, and REDLINK electronics guard against overload. Individual cell monitoring balances charge and discharge, and the fuel gauge shows what is left. Milwaukee describes the cells as fade-free under load.
Charging
It takes 87 minutes on the M12-18 FC or M18 DFC and 45 minutes on the M18 DBSC super charger. At 1.1 kg it is a good balance of runtime and weight for all-day cutting. It fits every M18 tool.
