The story
Built for mixed work
Carpenters, electricians and plumbers who move between masonry plugs, steel brackets and long timber screws in the same morning get one drill that handles all three. Two gears cover slow high-torque boring up to 89 mm in wood and fast drilling in brick and steel up to 16 mm, with hammer action for plugs and fixings.
Control in a bind-up
AUTOSTOP watches for sudden rotation of the body when a bit catches rebar or a knot and shuts the motor down before the wrist takes the load. The POWERSTATE brushless motor and REDLINK PLUS electronics manage current so the drill keeps speed under load, while the LED and fuel gauge help in dark voids and long shifts.
Part of the M18 system
It runs on every M18 pack, from compact 2.0 Ah batteries for overhead work to HIGH OUTPUT and FORGE packs for large auger bits. The kit arrives in an HD Box with two 5.0 Ah packs and the M12-18 FC charger, which also charges the M12 tools many installers carry alongside.
