The story
Cutting first
Festool builds the AGC 18 around cutting: the supplied TSA-AGC 18-125 cutting attachment gives the grinder a sliding base and an extraction port, so straight cuts in tile, stone, sheet metal and profiles are cleaner and less dusty. Remove it and fit the standard guard for grinding and deburring. Speed is adjustable, which helps on stainless steel and composite materials.
Protected electronics
The motor and electronics are sealed against grinding dust, and the brushless EC-TEC drive has no carbon brushes to wear out. A soft start, electronic overload protection, restart protection and a motor brake that stops the disc quickly make it safer to put down between cuts. It runs on any BP 18 pack and comes with side handle, keyless flange nut and guard in a Systainer³.
