The story
Keep the saws running
Crews running plunge saws, planers and cordless extractors all day burn through batteries faster than a standard charger can refill them. The SCA 16 charges at 16 A, and its AIRSTREAM fan cools packs that come off the tool hot, so charging can start immediately instead of waiting. With tabless packs, Festool quotes around 25 minutes to be ready again.
Smart cooling
The fan only runs when the pack needs it, which saves energy and noise. It charges all Festool packs from 10.8 to 18 V except the old BP-XS for CXS/TXS drills. An LED display shows charge state, and the cable holder and wall mount keep it tidy in the workshop or van.
