The story
For long passes
Metalworkers and installers who grind welds, clean steel or cut long runs of tile prefer a slide switch they can lock on. This grinder cuts 33 mm deep with 125 mm discs and runs at 8,500 rpm, which Milwaukee rates as matching a 1,200 W mains grinder.
Protection built in
RAPIDSTOP brakes the disc in under two seconds, anti-kickback cuts power if the disc catches, soft start avoids a jolt and line lock-out stops a restart after a pack change. A smaller gear head and lower battery angle improve balance over earlier models.
Discs and packs
FIXTEC lets you change discs without a spanner, and the keyless guard adjusts by hand. The kit includes two 5.0 Ah batteries in an HD Box. Keep grinding discs, flap discs and a diamond blade for concrete in the box and one grinder covers most jobs.
