The story
For cutting and finishing
Metalworkers, plumbers and builders use a 125 mm grinder for cutting rebar, pipe, threaded rod and tiles, and for grinding welds and edges. The DGA513 cuts up to 29 mm deep and the variable-speed dial lets you slow down for stainless steel, flap discs and wire brushes.
Safety features
AFT stops the motor if the disc suddenly binds, reducing kickback. The electric brake stops the disc quickly, soft start prevents a jolt at switch-on, and anti-restart prevents the grinder starting when a battery is inserted with the switch on. ADT adjusts speed and torque under load.
System
The slim body is comfortable for one-handed control and easy to grip with gloves. It runs on any 18V LXT battery; heavier 5.0 and 6.0 Ah packs give longer cutting time on steel. German DGA513RTJ kits add two 5.0 Ah batteries, a charger and a MAKPAC case.
