The story
For cutting and grinding
Metalworkers, plumbers and installers cut threaded rod, strut, pipe and tile and grind welds. The AG 6D-22-125 runs a 125 mm disc at 8500 rpm and cuts 34 mm deep, in a slim body that weighs 2 kg without battery.
Safety features
Instead of a mechanical paddle, SensTech touch sensors act as the dead-man control, so the grip stays slim. 3D Active Torque Control senses kickback in any direction and stops the tool. Vibration is 4.2 m/s² when grinding. It is designed to reduce the risk on a tool where kickback is a real danger.
In the range
It comes with a side handle, guard and flange set. Batteries are shared with the Nuron range; Hilti points out that the grinder cuts more per charge thanks to the brushless motor. A 150 mm version is also available. It is sold bare in a box or in a case.
