The story
Who it's for
Plumbers, HVAC and electrical installers who core holes for pipes, ducts and cable runs through masonry and concrete. With no cable to run it is useful on sites where power is not yet available or where water and mains leads should not meet.
What sets it apart
Two 18V packs drive a BITURBO brushless motor and two-gear drivetrain that Bosch rates as equal to a 2,500 W corded drill. It works handheld or rig-mounted, wet or dry, and stops the motor when the core cutter jams. Two gears match speed to bit size.
Setup
Bosch recommends two batteries of 5.5 Ah or more. The spindle takes both G 1/2" and 1 1/4" UNC core bits. It ships in an XL-BOXX with water supply and dust extraction adapters and two spanners; the rig is sold separately.
