The story
For coring contractors
Specialist coring firms and MEP subcontractors cut large penetrations for risers, ducts and drainage through slabs and walls. The DD 250-CA covers 12 to 500 mm, runs on a 3200 W motor with four gears from 240 to 2220 rpm, and is built to be mounted on a stand.
Automation and feedback
With Hilti Cut Assist fitted, the rig finds the surface and optimises feed rate without the operator holding the lever, so one person can manage more than one hole. A low-vibration mode helps start holes cleanly, and a display shows level, gear and usage in real time. Vibration is 2.5 m/s².
System
It is the largest coring tool in the Hilti range. The kit version adds the DD-HD 30 stand, vacuum base plate and wheels; at 37 kg as a complete system, it is often hired for the days a project needs it.
