The story
Metal and plastic on the rail
Façade and sign installers, shopfitters and conservatory builders cut aluminium composite panels, thin aluminium profiles, copper, brass, twin-wall polycarbonate and PVC. The flat tooth with variable chamfer gives a clean cut with consistent quality and lasts well in these materials, and the negative rake prevents the blade from climbing in soft metals.
For the 160 mm saws
It fits the TS 55 F, TSC 55 K, TSC 55 KS, HK 55, HKC 55 and HKC 55 K. The blue colour code marks it as a metal blade. Cooling with a little cutting fluid extends its life in stainless steel and thicker sections. Reduce the speed on plastics to avoid melting, as Festool recommends for the MMC electronics.
