The story
The reference rail saw
The TS 55 F is the saw joiners, kitchen fitters and interior carpenters use to break down sheet goods and cut worktops, doors and panels to size. On an FS guide rail it gives straight, splinter-free edges that are ready to fit. It cuts 55 mm deep at 90° and 43 mm at 45°.
Accuracy details
The cutting edge stays in the same place from 90° to 47°, so the rail's splinter strip marks the line for bevels too. Undercut to -1° helps when fitting against walls. A guide wedge sets the saw into an existing kerf. Speed is set by MMC electronics for each material, and a quick-acting brake stops the blade.
System fit
The removable plug it cable, FastFix blade change and CLEANTEC dust port work as on the other Festool tools, and the splinterguard gives clean edges on both sides. The Plus version comes in a Systainer³ SYS3 M 337 with a 42-tooth blade; the Plus-FS adds a 1,400 mm FS guide rail.
