The story
One blade for most cuts
Carpenters and fitters who break down sheet goods on site, then trim solid timber on the same job, rarely want to swap blades. The W28 has alternating teeth and a medium chip angle, which lets it rip along the grain and crosscut without changing blades. It is the sensible spare to keep in the saw's Systainer.
Made for the saw and the rail
Festool 160 mm blades are sized for its own plunge saws: a 1.8 mm kerf on a 1.2 mm body, 20 mm bore and a 15° chip angle. We list it for the TS 55 F and TSC 55 K, and Festool also names the HK 55 and HKC 55. For fine finish, laminate or aluminium, the same 160 mm family has dedicated blades.
