The story
Where it fits in
At 800 mm it covers the width of most doors and worktops, so it is the rail for cross cuts, door trimming and short plunge cuts. It fits in a van next to the Systainers and pairs with a longer rail through two FSV/2 connectors. Festool lists it with the TS 55 F, TS 75, HKC 55 K and PS 300 jigsaw.
How the rail works
The rail has a splinter guard on the cutting edge, a grip strip underneath that holds it on most surfaces without clamps, and a low-friction coating on top. The extra groove takes clamps, angle stops and the parallel fence, and FSV/2 connectors join rails for longer cuts.
