The story
For conversion and strip-out
The RSC 18 is for renovation carpenters and builders who dismantle window and door frames, cut roof and wall openings through boards and studs, shorten beams and cut pipes flush. The pendulum stroke speeds up cuts in timber, the large variable-speed trigger gives a controlled start, and the blade can be flipped 180° to cut up against the floor or ceiling.
Calmer and cleaner
Festool's vibration control keeps the saw steadier in the cut, which is easier on the operator and the workpiece. The dust extraction device in the box connects to a CLEANTEC extractor, an LED lights the cut, and blades change without touching them. It runs on any Festool 18V pack; the Basic kit includes a WOOD UNIVERSAL blade in a Systainer³ SYS3 L 187.
