The story
For demolition and strip-out
Plumbers, electricians and renovation crews use a recip saw to cut out old pipework, nail-embedded timber, sheet metal and sandwich panels. The SR 6-22 has a long 32 mm stroke and 2600 strokes per minute for fast cuts. It is aimed at heavy strip-out rather than fine cutting.
Handling
Hilti's AVR system reduces vibration by up to 26%, which matters on long demolition days. Better balance, an LED light and an optional lanyard point for drop protection round out the design. The tool alone weighs 3.1 kg. Hilti describes it as its best-handling recip saw to date.
Accessories
The SR DRS dust removal attachment connects to a Hilti extractor, and a Cut Assist attachment steadies the workpiece in any position. It runs on Nuron batteries shared with the rest of the range. It is sold bare, in a box or in a case.
