The story
Small saw for awkward cuts
The ERSC 18 is the saw to keep on the van for renovation, plumbing and fitting work: trimming pipes flush, cutting openings in studwork and shortening battens where a big recip saw will not fit. At 1.8 kg it can be held with one hand above head height, a scaffold hook on the housing keeps it parked between cuts, and an LED lights the cut line inside cavities.
Cleaner than most recip saws
A dust extraction device comes in the box, so the saw can be connected to a CLEANTEC extractor when cutting indoors. Blades change without touching them, the variable-speed trigger gives a soft start for plunge cuts, and the brushless EC-TEC motor keeps the stroke rate up to 3,000 per minute. It takes the same universal-shank blades as the bigger RSC 18 and runs on any Festool 18V pack.
