The story
Strip-out and first fix
Plumbers, electricians and renovation crews use a recip saw to cut out old pipework, openings, window frames and nailed timber. The DJR187 has a 32 mm stroke for aggressive cutting and two speed ranges, so it handles demolition and more controlled cuts in metal pipe.
Built for site use
Blades and the shoe change without tools, so you can move from a wood blade to a metal blade in seconds. XPT sealing protects it from dust and rain, the rubberised grip is slim, and a wide hook hangs it from scaffold or a ladder. An LED lights the cut line.
Kits and batteries
Runs on any 18V LXT battery, and a 5.0 Ah pack is a good match for long demolition cuts. The UK DJR187RTE kit adds two BL1850B 5.0 Ah batteries and a DC18RC charger, and the German DJR187RT kit has the same batteries and charger. The bare DJR187Z suits users who already own LXT packs.
