The story
For boarding crews
Drywall and interior crews fix hundreds of screws a day, and the DWC 18-2500 is tuned for the harder boards: gypsum fibre, OSB and chipboard, with screws up to 5 mm diameter. The depth-stop nose sets every head at the same level, an electronic cut-off stops the motor without clutch wear, and start/stop means the motor only runs while the bit is pressed on.
Loose or collated
Drive single screws with the bit holder, or clip on the AF 55-DWC magazine for collated strips up to 55 mm and keep going along the stud. The brushless EC-TEC motor needs no maintenance and a belt clip and scaffold hook keep it at hand. The Basic version comes without battery in a Systainer³; Festool offers the faster DWC 18-4500 for plasterboard.
