The story
The everyday driver
The T 18+3 is the drill most Festool users reach for first: assembling furniture, fitting frames, drilling for fixings in wood and steel. It weighs 1.0 kg bare, has a slim SoftGrip handle and a centre of gravity close to the hand, which makes long runs of screws less tiring. Two gears cover 0–450 and 0–1500 rpm.
Electronic torque control
Torque is set and cut off electronically, so screws land at the same depth every time. Switching to drill mode keeps the torque setting, which saves resetting the clutch between pilot holes and screws. The brushless EC-TEC motor manages temperature, voltage and current together with the battery for a long service life.
One interface, many heads
Every attachment clips on through FastFix: the supplied KC 13 keyless chuck and WH-CE CENTROTEC chuck, plus the AN-UNI angle head and EX-UNI eccentric head in the Set. It runs on all Festool 18V packs, and the Basic version comes bare in a Systainer³ SYS3 M 187.
