The story
Fitting doors and timber on site
The HLC 82 is for carpenters and joiners who fit doors, adjust frames, trim beams and chamfer timber on site. It removes up to 2.5 mm per pass across 82 mm and cuts rebates to 25 mm deep, with the depth dial reachable while planing. A quick-acting brake stops the cutter in under two seconds.
Spiral cutter, finer finish
The single-edge Spir-O-Cut head shears the wood at an angle, which leaves a smoother surface and runs quieter than a straight-knife drum; blade changes need no setting. The brushless EC-TEC motor keeps power up at full depth, and the planer works best with 5.0 or 8.0 Ah Li-HighPower packs.
Dust and accessories
Chips go out through either of two channels to a bag or a CLEANTEC extractor; the extractor starts via Bluetooth, and the connector fits on either side. Three V-grooves in the sole guide chamfers, and a removable chamfer adaptor is in the Set. The Basic version ships bare in a Systainer³ SYS3 M 237.
