The story
For installers and fitters
Electricians, plumbers and kitchen fitters spend most of the day on small holes: plugs for clips and brackets, pilot holes in timber and thin steel. The M12 FPD2 does that work at a fraction of the weight of an 18V drill, with hammer action for masonry up to 13 mm and wood bores up to 35 mm.
What sets it apart
The brushless POWERSTATE motor gives 45 Nm from a 12V pack, and the 13-step clutch plus locked drill and hammer settings lets the user drive screws up to 8 mm without stripping heads. Two gears, an LED and a metal belt clip round out a tool that is short enough to work inside cabinets.
M12 system fit
It runs on every M12 pack and shares the charger with the M18 range through the M12-18 FC. Kits come in an HD Box, and many trades pair it with the M12 FID2 impact driver for a light two-tool set on ladders and in ceiling voids.
