The story
For the last steps
Furniture finishers, painters and boat and vehicle refinishers use Platin between coats and before polishing. The soft, flexible structure follows the surface and removes dust nibs and orange peel without cutting through the film. The S-grade scale is Festool's own; S1000 sits in the middle of the Platin range from S400 to S4000.
Before the polish
Used on a soft pad with a 150 mm eccentric sander at low speed, Platin prepares lacquer for a hologram-free polish with the ROTEX. It fits every Festool 150 mm sander with a StickFix pad, including the ETS 150/3, ETSC 2 150, ETS EC 150 and ROTEX RO 150.
