The story
For carpenters and fit-out
The SC 6WL-22 is Hilti's current wood circular saw, replacing the SCW 22-A. It is aimed at carpenters and fit-out teams cutting studs, joists up to 60 mm, OSB, plywood, drywall and fibre-cement board on site. At 60 mm depth it covers most of the cuts a site carpenter makes in a day.
Performance
The brushless motor runs the 165 mm universal wood blade at 4500 rpm, and Hilti credits the combination with faster cutting and more cuts per charge. A redesigned dust channel improves capture. The base bevels to 50°, and the tool weighs 2.6 kg without battery.
Accessories and system
It comes with a blade and parallel guide; the case version adds a rail adapter, since the saw needs one to run on a guide rail. Batteries are shared with the whole Nuron range. It is aimed at site work rather than joinery-grade finishing.
