The story
First-fix framing saw
Framers, roofers and carpenters use a 190 mm saw for joists, rafters, battens and sheathing. The DCS573 cuts 67 mm deep at 90° and 51 mm at 45°, so it handles standard framing timber in one pass. The bevel goes to 57° for roof and stair work, and the depth adjusts without tools.
More power on FLEXVOLT
On a normal 18V XR pack it behaves like a strong cordless saw. Fit a FLEXVOLT battery and FLEXVOLT Advantage recognises it and raises output, which makes a clear difference in wet timber and hardwood. The electronic brake stops the blade quickly, and an LED lights the cut line.
Dust and storage
The AIRLOCK-compatible dust port connects directly to DeWalt extractor hoses, useful when cutting indoors. The bare saw ships in a TSTAK box with a 24-tooth blade, rip fence and wrench, or as a kit with two POWERSTACK batteries and a charger, so it stacks with the drill and driver.
