The story
Sheet goods and doors on site
Joiners, kitchen fitters and shopfitters use a plunge saw to break down worktops, panels and doors with a finish straight off the saw. The DCS520 cuts 59 mm deep freehand and 55 mm on the rail, enough for most door blanks and stacked boards, with a 42-tooth blade that leaves clean edges in laminate.
Designed around the rail
The parallel plunge action keeps your hand in the same position from start to finish of the cut. Rail adjusters remove play against DeWalt's 1.0, 1.5 and 2.6 m guide rails, and an anti-kickback catch stops the saw creeping backwards on the rail when plunging into the middle of a panel. Variable speed from 2,500 to 4,200 rpm suits different materials.
Cordless, but not dusty
The closed guard and AIRLOCK-compatible port make extraction effective, and Wireless Tool Control starts a paired DeWalt extractor with the trigger. It runs on any FLEXVOLT battery, and the bare saw ships in a TSTAK box with blade and wrench.
