The story
Runtime for the heavy tools
Mitre saws, table saws, SDS-max hammers, cut-off saws and extractors draw a lot of current, and a crew running them all day needs large batteries. The DCB548 adds capacity over the 6.0 and 9.0 Ah packs while keeping the same size as the 9.0 Ah battery, so it fits every FLEXVOLT tool without a bulkier pack.
One battery, two voltages
FLEXVOLT batteries detect the tool they are fitted to and switch automatically between 54V and 18V. The same pack that runs a DCS781 mitre saw can then go into an 18V XR drill or circular saw, and 18V tools with FLEXVOLT Advantage release extra power from it.
Practical on site
A three-LED fuel gauge shows the charge level at a glance. The pack charges on DeWalt's XR multi-voltage chargers, including the DCB132 dual-port charger. Note that FLEXVOLT batteries carry a one-year warranty; the three-year registration extension excludes batteries other than POWERSTACK.
