The story
The all-round router
The OF 1400 is for joiners and fitters who rout grooves, rebates, profiles, hinge recesses and templates. It has a 70 mm plunge stroke, 10,000–22,500 rpm set by MMC electronics for the bit and material, and takes 6–12.7 mm shanks, with 8 and 12 mm collets supplied.
Built for precision
The guide columns are clamped on both sides for a torsion-resistant plunge, and the fine adjustment sets depth to a tenth of a millimetre. Copying rings and bases change without tools, and a ratchet spindle lock speeds up bit changes. The new extraction bonnet has an LED light ring, and a quick-acting brake stops the bit.
Clean routing in the system
With the chip deflector and extraction hood up to 99 percent of chips are captured when edge routing. It runs on FS guide rails with the guide stop, connects to CLEANTEC extractors via the plug it cable, and ships with side fence and copying ring in a Systainer³ SYS3 M 337; the Box version adds a router bit set.
