Why this one
01
FLUID-DRIVE hydraulics
Quieter operation than a standard impact driver.
02
Self-tapping mode
Starts slowly and stops before stripping.
03
4-mode DRIVE CONTROL
Match speed to the fastener.
The story
Less noise all day
Carpenters, drylining crews and installers who drive screws for hours notice the difference: the oil-filled FLUID-DRIVE powertrain makes far less noise than a standard hammer-and-anvil driver, while Milwaukee states the same speed in wood fastening. That makes long days in occupied buildings, schools and offices easier for everyone nearby.
Modes for the job
DRIVE CONTROL has three fixed speeds and a self-tapping screw mode that starts slowly so the tip does not walk on steel, then stops before the screw strips. At up to 3,000 rpm and 4,000 ipm it drives long timber screws quickly.
Bits and batteries
Sold bare in an HD Box for users already on M18; a compact 5.0 Ah pack keeps it light. The ¼″ hex chuck takes SHOCKWAVE impact bits, magnetic holders, hex drill bits and step drills, so one driver covers most fixing work from drywall to steel brackets.
