Why this one
01
2,372 Nm breakaway
Frees rusted and over-tightened bolts that would stall smaller wrenches.
02
Automatic power boost
Raises output after four seconds of impacting on stubborn fasteners.
03
Precision Wrench mode
Slows down on run-down to reduce over-tightening and run-off.
04
1/2" hog ring
Quick socket changes by hand.
The story
For the nuts nobody else can shift
Steel erectors, plant fitters and groundworks crews regularly meet rusted anchor bolts, track bolts and oversized fasteners. The DCF961 is aimed squarely at them, with 1,626 Nm of fastening torque and 2,372 Nm available to crack nuts loose, all from a single 18V battery rather than an air line or a heavy corded wrench.
Power when it counts, control when it matters
After four seconds of continuous impacting the tool automatically raises its output to help free stubborn fasteners. A four-mode selector switches speed ranges, and the Precision Wrench setting slows the tool as a nut runs down to limit over-torquing and run-off. The LED can be dimmed or switched off.
Fits the 18V XR fleet
It runs on any 18V XR battery, and a POWERSTACK or high-capacity pack gives the best runtime under heavy load. The hog-ring anvil makes socket changes quick, and the bare tool can be ordered in a TSTAK box or as a kit with two POWERSTACK batteries.
