The story
Petrol performance, no fumes
Groundworkers, landscapers and plumbers cut kerbs, paving, pipe and concrete with a cut-off saw. The DSH 700-22 ATC matches the power and feel of a 70 cc petrol saw, according to Hilti, but without exhaust, so it can be used indoors, in trenches and on streets with less noise.
Safety
3D Active Torque Control detects kickback in any direction and stops the saw in under one second, and the blade brake stops the disc in four seconds or less after the trigger is released. A push-button start shows a green light when on and switches off after a minute idle.
Run time and weight
It uses two Nuron batteries at a time; with four B 22-290 packs Hilti rates it at up to 30% more cutting than a tank of fuel. With two packs and a blade it weighs 13.5 kg. The kit includes a flange and a 300 mm SPX blade.
