The story
One charger for two systems
Trades using both M12 and M18 tools need one charger that handles both. The M12-18 FC has one M12 and one M18 bay and charges them in sequence, first in first charged, so no one needs to manage the order.
Charge times
Milwaukee lists 59 minutes for an M18 5.0 Ah pack, 87 minutes for an 8.0 Ah pack and 130 minutes for a 12.0 Ah FORGE pack. M12 packs charge from 26 minutes for a 2.0 Ah battery to 95 minutes for 6.0 Ah, so a pack is usually ready by lunch.
In the kit
The charger is supplied with many M18 kits, including the FPD3, FID3 and FHACO745, so most users already own one. It can be wall mounted in vans and workshops to keep batteries off the floor, and recharges M14 packs as well as M12 and M18.
