The story
The sound of the site
Every site hut and fit-out floor has a radio, and it needs to survive being knocked over and covered in dust. The DCR029 is built for that, with an integrated roll cage around a full-size speaker. DAB+ and FM tuners cover broadcast radio, while Bluetooth and AUX stream music from a phone.
Any battery, or the mains
It runs on DeWalt 12V, 18V XR and 54V FLEXVOLT batteries, or from the mains with the detachable supply, so there is no need to keep a separate pack. A USB port charges a phone on both battery and mains power.
Part of the crew's kit
At 3.8 kg it is easy to carry between rooms by the cage. It is sold as a bare unit, using batteries the crew already owns, so there is no extra pack or charger to buy, carry or keep track of on the job.
