The story
Curves and cut-outs
Joiners and fitters use a jigsaw for sink and hob cut-outs, scribing panels and shaped work. The DJV184 cuts up to 135 mm in wood, 20 mm in aluminium and 10 mm in steel, and bevels to 45° either side.
Features
Three orbital settings speed up rough cuts, and straight cutting gives a clean edge. A soft no-load function lowers speed when idling to reduce vibration, constant-speed electronics hold stroke rate under load, and a brake stops the blade quickly. An LED lights the line.
In the system
The supplied dust nozzle connects to an extractor through the 23/28 mm port for cleaner cutting in kitchens and occupied rooms. At 1.7 kg bare it is light enough for overhead and vertical cuts, and it runs on any 18V LXT battery already in the van.
