The story
Workshop accuracy at the point of work
Second-fix carpenters, joiners and flooring crews want a large mitre saw where the work is, not in a van with an extension lead. The DCS781 gives full 305 mm capacity on battery: 310 mm wide at 90 mm deep, 165 mm on the fence, and double bevel to 49° for crown and skirting.
Runtime and repeatability
Regenerative braking recovers energy as the blade stops, stretching runtime; DeWalt quotes up to 675 cuts in 83 mm skirting on one 9 Ah pack. The XPS LED casts the blade's shadow onto the workpiece, so the cut line is always true without adjusting a laser. Dual horizontal rails keep the head rigid at full extension.
Part of a cordless fit-out
It runs on FLEXVOLT batteries shared with the table saw, grinder and extractor. Base extensions, a stabiliser and a material clamp are included. Because large mitre saws are often needed only during fit-out, this model is also part of our rental fleet.
