The story
Into every corner
Window and door frames, panelled doors and eaves are where painters lose time. The DTSC 400 puts a pointed pad into inside corners and along beads, while the Protector edge lets you sand up to glass and frames without chipping them. At around 1 kg bare and with a low height, it is comfortable on vertical and overhead work.
Battery or mains
It runs on Festool's compact BP 18 Li 3.0 Ergo battery, which lasts longer than it takes to charge. For long indoor jobs, the optional ACA 220-240/18V Ergo adapter replaces the battery and makes it a corded sander. The brushless EC-TEC motor delivers mains-like power, and dust goes into a long-life bag or a CLEANTEC extractor. The Basic version comes without battery in a Systainer³.
