The story
Measuring outside
Site engineers, builders, facade crews and landscapers need distances, areas and heights in bright daylight, where an ordinary red laser dot disappears. The PD-E measures up to 200 m with ±1.0 mm accuracy, and its optical viewfinder lets you aim at far targets.
Functions
A 360° tilt sensor and indirect measurement functions calculate heights and widths that cannot be measured directly. It handles area, volume, painter's area, Pythagoras, trapezoid and setting-out calculations and keeps the last 30 results. The IP65 housing resists dust and rain.
Power and kit
It runs on two AAA batteries rather than a tool battery platform and comes with a hand strap and a belt pouch. There is no Bluetooth interface; results stay on the device's memory of the last 30 measurements. It is a durable, single-purpose instrument for people who measure outside every day.
