The story
Levels, falls and ceilings
Groundworkers, landscapers and ceiling installers use a rotary laser to set foundation heights, drainage falls and suspended ceiling grids. The DCE079 self-levels horizontally and vertically within ±5°, gives plumb up and down dots, and can be set to a single slope of up to ±10° for grading work.
Visible and tough
The green beam is about four times more visible than red to the eye, giving 60 m visible range indoors and 600 m in diameter with a detector outside. It is accurate to ±1.5 mm at 30 m, the housing is IP67 sealed, and a rubber overmould is drop tested from 2 m.
Powered by 18V XR
It runs from an 18V XR battery rather than dedicated packs, so spares are always in the van. This kit includes a 2.0 Ah battery. A rotary laser is often needed only during set-out, so it is also available from our rental fleet.
