The story
Fast track fixing
Drywall and interior fit-out crews fixing metal track to floors and soffits need speed more than anything. The GX 3 drives 14 to 39 mm nails into concrete and steel with up to 100 J, and the curved 40-nail magazine reaches into deep track sections.
Single energy source
Everything comes from a GC 40, 41 or 42 gas can, so there is no battery to charge or cartridge strip to load. A gas gauge shows what is left, and the tool is Hilti Connect enabled for diagnostics. It weighs 3.99 kg and comes in a case with a pin punch.
Where it fits
It sits between the battery BX 4-22, aimed at M&E fixings, and the powder-actuated DX 6 for heavier work. A kit version includes two GC 42 gas cans. Hilti describes it as a single-energy-source tool, which keeps the daily routine simple: load nails, fit a gas can and work.
