The story
For M&E fixing
Electricians and mechanical fitters set hundreds of clips, straps and threaded studs a day. The BX 4-22 replaces drilling and anchoring for much of that work, driving strip nails straight into concrete, steel and masonry at up to 1000 fastenings an hour, according to Hilti, including the longer nails needed for threaded studs.
Why battery
A mechanical drive powered by a brushless motor avoids the noise, recoil, cleaning and running cost of gas tools. The tool primes itself when picked up, shows when the magazine needs refilling and reports faults through the ON!Track app. Angled, detachable magazines and a short stroke help in tight spots.
System fit
It succeeds the BX 3 and shares Nuron batteries with the rest of Hilti's cordless range. This M&E edition ships in a case with the X-M30 magazine and fastener guides for M&E and fire-protection work. A kit with a B 22-85 battery and C 6-22 charger is also available.
