The story
Direct fastening at scale
Formwork crews, drylining contractors and installers use powder-actuated tools to fix into concrete and steel without drilling. The DX 6 drives 13 to 72 mm fasteners with up to 335 J, and Hilti rates it at up to five times faster than drilling and anchoring. It needs trained, certified operators.
What is new
Piston return and cartridge advance are fully automatic, so the operator only pulls the trigger. Energy is adjusted on the tool in one step, which means one cartridge colour can cover many applications. The bayonet mount makes cleaning on site quicker.
Kit and range
This kit includes the MX 72 magazine, F8 and FIE-XL guides with matching pistons, cleaning kit and case. It is the powder-actuated flagship alongside the gas GX 3 and battery BX 4-22, and a common short-term hire. Hilti also sells separate DX 6 versions with other guides.
