The story
The tool for the last cut
Fitters and renovators reach for the OSC 18 when nothing else fits: undercutting door frames, cutting openings in plasterboard and panels, trimming skirting and profiles in place, or scraping off tile adhesive, sealant and old coatings. It accepts StarlockMax, StarlockPlus and Starlock blades, which lock in without a key and can be set at different angles.
Smoother in the hand
The motor and gearbox are isolated from the housing, which cuts noise and vibration noticeably on long scraping jobs. The brushless EC-TEC drive has variable speed and a quick-acting brake. Festool's system accessories, a depth stop, positioning aid and extraction adapter, turn it into a guided plunge saw that works with a CLEANTEC extractor even overhead. The Basic version comes with a universal blade in a Systainer³.
