The story
The problem solver
Every trade meets a cut that nothing else can make: undercutting door frames for new flooring, plunge-cutting openings in plasterboard, trimming skirting in place or cutting out a damaged board. The DCS356 is the tool for those jobs, with a brushless motor running up to 20,000 oscillations per minute.
Speed for the material
A three-position speed selector on the cap sets a sensible top speed for the task, and the variable trigger fine-tunes it. The quick-change clamp swaps blades without tools, and the universal adaptor lets it use many other brands' accessories. An LED lights the cut.
In the 18V XR kit bag
At 1.1 kg without battery and 310 mm long it is easy to use one-handed. The bare tool comes with wood and nail-embedded wood blades, a sanding pad and assorted sheets, and runs on any 18V XR battery. A kit with two 5.0 Ah batteries and more blades in a TSTAK box is also available.
