The story
The installer's hammer
Electricians, plumbers and HVAC fitters drill hundreds of 6 to 12 mm holes for anchors, clips and brackets. The DHR243 is sized for that job: 2.0 J per blow, up to 4,700 blows a minute and 3.2 kg with a battery, so it can be used overhead without a second person.
Three modes, two chucks
Switch between rotation only, hammer drilling and chiselling for light chasing and tile removal. The supplied quick-change 13 mm keyless chuck swaps in for the SDS-plus chuck, so the same tool drills steel and timber with round-shank bits. A torque limiter releases the drive if the bit jams.
Dust and system
Optional dust-collecting caps and a HEPA-filtered extraction attachment keep drilling clean in occupied buildings such as schools, offices and homes. It runs on any 18V LXT battery, and German kits (DHR243RTJ) add two 5.0 Ah packs, a charger and a MAKPAC.
