Why this one
01
3.8 J per blow
Drills 10 to 28 mm anchor holes at SDS-max-like speed.
02
Faster through rebar
Hilti claims up to 200% faster rebar drilling than earlier models.
03
Active Torque Control
Cuts power if the bit jams to protect wrists.
04
Vibration reduction
AVR keeps drilling vibration at 11.1 m/s².
The story
For heavier anchor work
Contractors setting larger anchors, rebar dowels and through-holes in reinforced slabs usually reach for an SDS-max. The TE 30-22 covers much of that work in an SDS-plus body: 3.8 J per blow, 10 to 28 mm as its best range, and Hilti claims up to twice the speed through rebar compared with its predecessors.
Built for long days
A brushless motor and Nuron electronics give more holes per charge. Active Torque Control and Active Vibration Reduction come as standard, a removable chuck adds drilling in wood and steel, and the chisel function handles chipping and chasing. The tool alone weighs 3.9 kg.
Where it fits
It sits between the TE 6-22 all-rounder and the SDS-max TE 60-22. Batteries are shared across the Nuron range, and the TE DRS-D or DRS-C hoods connect it to a Hilti extractor for dust control. The box and case versions both include a depth gauge and grease; batteries and charger are bought separately.
