The story
Layout for fit-out
Drylining, ceiling, electrical and joinery crews set out partitions, ceilings, sockets and cabinets from reference lines. The PM 40-MG projects one horizontal and two vertical 360° green planes, so a single setup covers a whole room, with ±2 mm accuracy at 10 m.
Visible and protected
Green beams are easier to see indoors than red, with 40 m working range or 100 m with a line receiver. Hilti's Metal Blade Axicon design protects the optics, and it warns when out of level or low on battery. It is class 2 and IP54.
Power
It runs on Hilti's 12V B12 battery, a separate platform from Nuron, for up to one and a half days of work per charge. The kit adds a B 12-30 battery and charger. It comes in a case, and the laser is class 2, so no special precautions are needed on site.
