The story
For grounds maintenance
Landscapers and grounds staff trim hedges for hours at a time, often on commercial sites with long boundaries. The UH004G has a 600 mm double-sided blade with 23.5 mm opening for established growth and three speeds to match hedge type and battery life.
Design details
The blade shape is designed for smooth cutting and longer runtime. A double-action switch prevents accidental starts, the soft grip reduces fatigue on long days and an electric brake stops the blade quickly. IPX4 protection lets work continue in light rain.
System
Runs on all XGT batteries; with a 4.0 Ah pack Makita quotes up to 370 minutes at low speed and 85 minutes at high. It shares batteries with the XGT chainsaw and other 40Vmax garden and site tools, so one charger setup covers the crew.
