The story
Two drills in one
Most drivers are a compromise between low-speed torque and high-speed drilling. The TDC 18/4 splits the job over four gears in a metal gearbox: the first gives 50 Nm for long structural screws, the fourth spins at 3,600 rpm for clean small holes in metal and hardwood. It suits carpenters building substructures and frames, and fitters setting doors and windows who need both in the same hour.
Safer with big bits
When a large bit jams, KickbackStop senses the sudden rotation and cuts the drive before the handle twists out of your hand. The FastFix interface takes the supplied CENTROTEC and 13 mm keyless chucks, and the angle and eccentric heads from the other 18V drivers. An auxiliary handle, bit holder and belt clip are in the Systainer³; batteries are bought separately, with the 4.0 Ah or 5.0 Ah packs recommended for heavy work.
