The story
The everyday driver for fitters
Kitchen fitters, electricians and interior installers spend most of the day drilling pilot holes and driving screws in tight spots. The DCD800 is built for that: at 161 mm long and 1.28 kg it slips into carcasses and ceiling voids, yet 90 Nm of torque covers most drilling and fastening without reaching for a heavier combi drill.
Simple, precise control
A two-speed all-metal gearbox and 15 clutch positions give repeatable results from small hinge screws to 55 mm holes in timber. The trigger is tuned for fine starts, and a three-mode LED in the foot pivots to light the work instead of the chuck, which helps in shadowy cupboards and under sinks.
Lighter with POWERSTACK
The kit comes with two 5.0 Ah POWERSTACK packs, whose stacked pouch cells are more compact than a standard 5 Ah battery and give the drill a shorter, better-balanced feel. Everything packs into a TSTAK box, and the batteries run every other tool on the 18V XR platform.
