Why this one
01
169 Nm torque
Enough to drive long lag screws and run large self-feed bits without stalling.
02
Anti-rotation
Cuts the motor if the bit binds and the body starts to spin.
03
Pack ID boost
Delivers extra power when fitted with a POWERSTACK or FLEXVOLT battery.
04
Three-speed gearbox
All-metal transmission with 11 clutch settings and hammer mode.
The story
Built for big bits and long screws
This is the drill for installers, carpenters and plumbers who spend the day on self-feed bits, hole saws and long structural screws. The 169 Nm maximum torque and a three-speed metal gearbox let it hold speed in tough timber, while hammer mode takes care of fixing holes in brick and concrete without swapping to an SDS tool.
Control when it bites
High torque is only useful if the tool stays in your hands. The anti-rotation system senses a sudden twist when a bit jams and shuts the motor down. The electronic clutch has 11 settings for repeatable driving, and a pivoting 70 lumen LED on the foot lights the hole in dark cupboards and ceiling voids.
Gets more from bigger packs
The DCD1007 runs on any 18V XR battery, but Pack ID recognises POWERSTACK and FLEXVOLT packs and unlocks additional output. The bare version ships in a TSTAK box with side handle, belt hook and magnetic bit holder, so it stacks straight onto the rest of a DeWalt storage tower.
