The story
Small holes, occupied buildings
Installers fixing anchors or rebar in hospitals, offices and homes that are still in use need holes without hammer noise. The DD 30-W cores 8 to 35 mm holes wet, handheld or on a rig, and because it does not hammer it will not spall brittle material or crack edges.
How it works
A 1450 W motor spins the diamond bit at 9200 rpm, and Hilti's TopSpin approach keeps progress fast through reinforcement. The soft start helps place the hole accurately, and the quick-lock keyless chuck makes bit changes quick. Corner accessibility is 45 mm.
In the range
It is the smallest tool in Hilti's diamond coring line, below the cordless DD 150-U-22 and the rig-based DD 250-CA. It uses Hilti's wet-coring bits and a water supply; the version sold here is 110 V. It ships in a case with a water connection piece and spray.
